Renee Woodman-Wickliffe is among the most lethal finishers in international rugby.

A consistent performer for more than a decade, Renee is one of few women to have played 46 tests for the Black Ferns and held a key leadership role within the New Zealand team.

She is a three time 15’s World Cup winner, helping the Black Ferns to the title in 2010, 2017 and more recently on home soil 2021 (played in 2022). What was Renee’s fourth World Cup appearance in 15s and where she finished up a glittering rugby career, having scored 24 tries and 120 points in her test career.

Renee has also tasted World Cup Sevens glory, winning the 2013 tournament while also playing in a handful of World Series tournaments before focussing fully on the longer form of the game. Having grown up in Paeroa, Renee first made her name at provincial level further north, initially with Auckland and then with a stellar stint at Counties Manukau which culminated in the Heat winning the 2006 Farah Palmer Cup. She represented Chiefs Manawa, inaugural Super Rugby Aupiki Champions.

Renee (Ngāti Tamaterā) is deeply passionate about supporting the next generation of wāhine in rugby and commits her time to coaching both young and representative levels, assisting the Bay of Plenty Volcanix in their upcoming Farah Palmer Cup season.
